When I roll silverware at work profound thoughts often pop into my head. Listening to waiters and waitresses complain of rude customers or "guests" made me realize how spoiled people are. Not only are people selfish, but also unappreciative. I wanted to put emphasis on the mundane task of rolling silverware. A repetitive task that is not even for the betterment of society. I constantly repeat the same task over and over for people that wont even realize I have done a service to them. Is it even a service at all if it is not crucial to their existence?

Come Together
The balance of the hallway creates a sense of equality and separation. I was emphasizing the semi- awkward feeling of living with someone. Often in a roommate situation, there are colliding times and schedules. I wanted to portray this through the crossing of paths; that when correct timing between friendly roommates occurs, it causes a break in a pattern. A break in the status quo is relieving, freeing and uplifting. After a disruption in the pattern, however things return to normal. I wanted to create unity and balance through paths and actions.
Stress
When I am anxious or stressed out I scratch my wrist. I have realized the constant repetition of my actions leads to unhappiness and chaos. Once stress consumes me the world seems to be my own personal battle field, an uphill struggle toward my ultimate demise. However, success is a product of tranquility. In a relaxed state not much can bother me and troubles seem non-existent. I wanted to focus entirely on my anxious state. To do that, I filmed my actions up close and personal so I could display the small action on a large scale. Once I realized the bigger picture, of me giving into my instantaneous stress, I finally had enough and put my fist down. Being relaxed is often not associated with power and control, however it was essential in taking ahold of my life.
Why Is It Gone?
The container of peanut butter is the clear focal point. I wanted to have it focused on just the peanut butter using scale to create a sense of largeness. A snack is normally viewed as a small thing that people have on a daily basis. I continually take a finger full of peanut butter through out the day. I wanted to emphasize how a small snack can turn into a bigger part of my day than most people would think.
Bag It Uppp
I wanted to create rhythm while emphasizing a bigger picture. The incentive for me to move to Florida was based entirely off of my desire to chase my hopes and dreams. However, packing and moving to Florida is not easy. Now I realize this is a common feeling that consumes most of society. I wanted to throw dull mundane gray cloths into a suit case because it describes what I thought my life was and what it is now. Gray is the color of conformity, dull and lacking life. Once I moved away I realized leaving my family for an independent life was not all it is made out to be. What is the point of achieving your dreams without loved ones to share it with? I wanted to emphasize packing over and over to leave and express my doubt in it as well.
